Toni Childs - NSW/QLD - March 2010
SCAV was asked to provide an A1 setup for Toni Childs by Premier Artists for a NSW/QLD run. It was an all EV affair, EV being the preferred sound re-enforcement product for the act and crew while in Australia. An international band filled with world class session Musicians, backed up Toni Childs for an awe inspiring journey of powerful music. A pair of Allen & Heath GL2800 40 ch consoles were used for FOH & Monitor Duties. A Heal Mic capsule was used on Tonis' Vocal mic that provided outstanding gain before feedback and warmth. The warmth and tight pattern control achieved with the distant proximity of Tonis' microphone handling style was something that needed to be heard..and scene. Keep an eye out for the "Heal" Microphones, they have really nailed a vocal mic to suit a Niche performer - the capsules also work seemlessly with shures handheld transmitters.
