Simon Coates Audio Visual Solutions has been prodiving value added AV solutions to premier Entertainment Venues & Live events in north Coast since 2001.

Conquering many personal and career goals, Company Director Simon Coates, Moved to Coffs Harbour in 2000 to persue an interest in Hospitality Management and went onto complete a Bachelor Degree in Business in Hospitality & Resort Management with Southern Cross University. It was here that a heavy involvment with the local hospitality industry combined with a major research project into the utilisation of AV services revealed a gap in the AV infrastructure being provided on the North Coast of NSW. A personal desire enraged to provide the North Coast of NSW with Quality & professional AV solutions that were previously not available in the Area. SCAV PTY LTD was born.

Simon Coates formally trained with Jands Production Services, Sydney, were a "do it the right way 1st time, everytime" and "nothing is impossible" attitude and work ethic was engraved. Much time was spent touring Australia with some of the largest, technically complex and High Budget Audio and Lighting Productions of the time. This included Kiss, Powerfinder, Aria Awards ,Crusty Deamons of Dirt, Australian Idol, Australian Fashion Week.. and countless other international and national acclaimed acts, to name but a few......

Today Simon is still involved in Production & Tour Management for a select few of Australias Top Artists, Preferring to grow and service clientelle in the North Coast Area, NSW.

Founding Company Director, Simon Coates has spent the last 2years, intermittently traveling Australia as a Technical and Production Manager for one of the Countries Largest Artists.

"I have completed live shows at every major & minor live pub, venue & Festival in every state and corner of Australia, I've seen and used just about every brand and type of AV equipment, from the good to the bad!"
